BIO

Ken Robertson.

When we say the name of someone we’ve never met, reading facts about their lives usually helps to see “who” they are.

So, let’s see some facts about…

Ken Robertson….

Ken was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

His parents were members of the Nazarene affiliation.

His father was the pastor of a Nazarene church near Tuscaloosa.

Obviously Ken was a PK (Preacher’s Kid).

          Ken loved music. Go figure.

Went to Holt High School, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

          Studied at Jeff State/UAB.

          Air Force stint 1965-1969.

Now we have Ken’s history, what about Ken the man…

Once home from the Air Force, Ken joined the work force, married and began to raise his family, then spent the better part of his adult life writing and singing Gospel songs. Wherever he found himself, whether it was driving down the road on his job which took him through different states, in a motel room, in a restaurant writing on a napkin or back home in his recliner, he kept busy doing what the Lord had laid on his heart to do for the Kingdom.

To date Ken has written over 6,000 songs! God has blessed him with this gift and he always gives God the credit/glory.  Several groups/artists have recorded Ken’s songs and you’ll find some of them on YouTube and Facebook.

One of his most requested songs is called “Marshmallow Heart,” recorded and sung by Facebook’s Billie Jo Linville. You can watch that on YouTube. She’s also recorded a whole CD of Ken Robertson songs called, “Songs From The Heart,” which included, “God’s Got A Blessing For You.”

The group from South Carolina, Mercy Rain recorded Ken’s song, “Mercy Rain,’ which he wrote especially for them. Also the group, Reborn from Arkansas recorded a song which Ken wrote for them titled, “Reborn.” The Wilson’s from Tennessee recorded Ken’s “You’ll Find Him Walking,” and “Momma’s Garden Of Prayer.’ Billy Gene Dickerson from Dothan, Alabama recorded Ken’s great song called, “Back On That Right Road Again.” Sheila Smith Trio from Marianne, Florida recorded, “God Is Our Hope.” The Bowen Family from Panama City, Florida recorded, “Joy Ride. Murry and Kathy Reeves from Lake City, Florida recorded, “He’s Only A Prayer Away.” These are just a few groups/artist who have taken advantage of the songs that God has inspired Ken to write through the years.

Ken sings at his own home church as well as other churches around his home town of Panama City, Florida, plus he travels to different states as opportunities arise. However, his heart is in what he does several times a month in his city; singing for different nursing homes and retirement centers, etc. What a ministry that is, and Ken is glad to be one that goes the extra mile for these folks!

Ken is a former Assistant Pastor and former Sunday School Teacher at The Old Country Church in Callaway, Florida.

His friends all know they can count on him to be “Johnny-on-the-spot” when it comes to helping someone out, passing along prayer requests, or jumping up to sing a song when asked.

After reading all of the above, you can see "who" Ken Robertson is, and that his heart is in the right place…...........
